Season 1 changelog: slower progression, new prices and unlock moves
Alongside the pre-load, BULKHEAD published the full Season 1 changelog. The biggest change is progression: mid levels are now much slower, and several vendor items and unlocks have moved in price and level.
Exploits and moderation
- Fixed an exploit that let players reach an unintended spot on the church roof.
- New report tracking system. Reports are now weighted, so repeat and bad-faith reporters carry less influence.
- When match termination is off, cheater bans are now announced in the server.
- The "kicked from server" message only shows up if you were actually banned.
Server browser and voice chat
- Server browser filtering reworked; community server images no longer scale incorrectly.
- The Host a server button now goes straight to the hosting page.
- Voice no longer cuts out permanently after a failed join; stale channel rejoins, push-to-talk targeting and re-login now recover properly.
- Better voice reliability under load and a visible communication status.
Gameplay and vehicles
- Z20 Lakota balance pass, a fix for sluggish pitch, and its chase camera rotation rattle is 6 dB quieter.
- Helicopter input damping now applies to every input device.
- Vehicle turrets now have a maximum operator rotation speed.
- 155mm, 122mm and flare deployables take up more loadout space.
- Fixed a DPI issue affecting tank aiming.
Performance and stability
- DLSS Frame Generation can be toggled without a restart; the render target pool is configurable.
- Fewer shadow cache refreshes, so less hitching when you take control of a character.
- High benchmark scores now clamp shadow quality to Low instead of turning shadows off.
- Several crashes fixed: two in the frame generation pipeline, plus crashes around buildables, chatbox tooltips, off-game-thread network calls and firing a weapon whose owner had left.
- More detailed GPU crash reports, a removed legacy graphics dependency, dropped items no longer affecting navigation, and clearer startup error messages.
Progression
The beta-era XP curve was tuned for weekend tests. For Season 1, levels 10 to 20 are slower and the curve flattens from level 35 onward. According to the developers, a median player at 20 to 25 hours of play should be around level 20, while the top items are meant for the most dedicated grinders. Each season will have its own XP curve and item order.
- Below level 6: unchanged.
- Level 10: 25,000 → 35,000 XP.
- Level 15: 54,750 → 110,000 XP.
- Level 20: 111,500 → 250,000 XP.
- Level 30: 293,750 → 400,000 XP.
- Level 50: 838,000 → 1,000,000 XP.
- Player kill with an air vehicle: 300 → 250 XP.
- Selling a supply crate item worth under $75: 25 → 1 XP.
- The supply crate purchase curve was rescaled from 25–250 to 1–200 so cheap items cannot be abused.
