Wardogs2 October hotfixes: IR Rangefinders pulled, CIWS vs Havoc adjusted
On 2 October 2026 WARDOGS received two hotfixes: a scheduled security and stability fix in the morning, and later two balance changes that needed no client download.
Security and stability hotfix
- Deployed on Friday, 2 October, at 08:00 UTC with about one hour of downtime.
- Addresses minor security and stability issues affecting some players. No further details were given (announcement on Steam).
Balance changes
- IR Rangefinders are disabled in the vendor until Season 02. When they return, they will need batteries. The developers agreed with players that they were too overpowered.
- CIWS now destroys a Havoc in around 6 seconds instead of 12. BULKHEAD says it had overcorrected this in the previous patch.
- The changes apply within 12 hours as servers restart in each region. No client download or downtime is required.
What it means for players
IR Rangefinders are off the table for the rest of Season 1, and Havoc pilots should again treat CIWS as a serious threat. Season 02 is announced for 15 October 2026.
